When Ms Day looks in the mirror, she doesn't see herself as a 75 year old woman. Instead she sees herself as Sara Jane, her 16 year old self. Sara Jane is quite real to Ms Day. It is difficult at times to coexist with Sara Jane, who tends to be critical and preachy. It is even possible she is her better half, created to keep the real woman in check.
About the Author:
Born Stella Jean Draper 6-13-26 at Traer, Iowa. Attended high school there. The next week after graduation, at the age of 16, she traveled half-way across the country to Wash DC to work for the FBI. While there, she experienced the proximinity to WWII and all it entailed. She married and moved to Cedar Island NC--a small backward island. She lost 2 of her sons, one as an infant, the other at the age of 32. She was divorced after raising 6 sons, then attended college and began writing. She is best known for her book, Blackbear Terror of the Seas.
